I think the things that best demonstrate web 2.0 are things such as Twitter and most importantly Blogs. When I think of web 2.0 I think so a customizable web experience where your opinion counts just as much as a professional opinion does. Blogs are a good example of that because if you disagree with a certain statement you can take to your blog to rebuttal. For example, if a sports caster was denouncing a certain team that I was a fan of, I could take to my blog completely supporting the team and attempting to convince everyone else to as well. I could actually compete hand in hand with the sportscaster who was hired for his position in the network.
Twitter is another customizable aspect of web 2.0. You can tell everyone what you are doing at any time. Celebrities and average people alike are on twitter and that puts everyone on the same level. Celebrities are tweeting about what they are doing and it maybe something as simple as "eating a bowl of rice," which makes them seem average and reachable to us. I think that web 2.0 is very customizable in the sense that everyone can write their own thoughts and opinions on an issue, but things tend to get skewed when we receive information from completely unreliable sources.
